Upon graduation from NYCC she studied yoga in Brazil, India, and Jamaica, earning a 500-hour advanced Yoga Alliance certification in Ashtanga yoga. She incorporates her deep understanding of yoga into her patient care, offering a unique perspective.

Dr. Courtney’s interest in Chiropractic began when she was a patient as a teenager. Like many others, she initially sought chiropractic care for back pain, but soon learned the amazing healing powers of the adjustment, not just for pain, but for overall health. Over the years her mission has become helping others meet their health goals and getting people more deeply connected to themselves. Through chiropractic and yoga, Dr. Courtney is able to educate people on the importance of a healthy spine and nervous system, while controlling the major cause of disease – stress!

Before having a busy, young family, Dr. Gray was a Mission Leader of ChiroMission, which is the “Doctors without Borders” of the Chiropractic profession. ChiroMission is responsible for bringing drug free health care to third world countries where people have limited, or no access, to this type of care. In this capacity, Dr. Gray has traveled on several occasions to Dominican Republic, Haiti, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines to provide care and humanitarian relief to those in need.

After practicing in Bucks County, Pennsylvania at a busy wellness centre, Dr. Courtney decided to return to Brantford, her hometown, to help the people that have always been close to her heart. Gray Matter Chiropractic, now open for more than 10 years, is her labor of love, and she is very proud of what she has created to serve the community. We know you will love it too!

In her spare time, Dr. Courtney enjoys adventuring with her children, yoga, golf, organizing her physical spaces, and watching re-runs of The Office. She is also a self-proclaimed ‘seminar junkie’ regularly attending weekend workshops in chiropractic or personal development, always seeking to deepen her knowledge base.
